This is the website on which I hold my 'paintings for sale'  and 'forthcoming exhibitions' information. On 'www.clareshepherd.com' you'll find the more organic and eclectic works which cover the time between March 2002 when it was built to the present day and ongoing into the future. You will also find my quiet blog there...half way down the home page 'Clare's Blog'. This website is still a work in progress for the moment. Please bear with me, many thanks.

Clare Shepherd is an artist living and working on The Cranborne Chase in Dorset. Clare was born and brought up in Somerset and is very much a Wessex based artist. As well as within her own landscape of Dorset, she paints frequently on Exmoor and of Exmoor. Clare studied art at Somerset College of Arts and Technology and moved on to The Slade School of Fine Art in London where, on graduation, she was awarded The Slade Prize for her year. Clare has taught for some years for The Dorset Adult Education Service and for The University of Bath but now teaches her own privately run courses in Blandford Forum, Dorset which are thriving and inspiring. Clare has firm ideas on how and what to teach.

Clare entered the Artists303 open exhibition with her painting 'Raven and Skulls' . It was judged 'best overall exhibit'. She was awarded the £1000 top prize.
